Joycelyn Brown

With more than 15 years of experience, Joycelyn Brown provides consultancy services and legal oversight to entrepreneurs, startups, and other innovative businesses – with a particular focus on operational improvement, regulatory compliance, and personnel solutions.  As a consultant, Joycelyn has assisted growing companies to develop strategic initiatives to optimize for operational growth, organizational culture, and workforce realignment.  Her work has included the development of KPIs and management goals, the implementation of personnel management systems, and the introduction and management of personnel policies which lead to higher performance efficiencies.  Joycelyn has also worked closely with executive leadership to mitigate business risks by assessing personnel performance and compliance with local and federal regulations.

Prior to launching her own entrepreneurial career, Joycelyn worked as a business and intellectual property lawyer. She has been recognized as one of the top “40-Under-40” professionals in Miami, Florida.   Joycelyn is also an adjunct professor at the University of Miami School of Law where she teaches Startup Law & Entrepreneurship.
